In 2012 Pembrook Apparel was born out of the successful history of PantsMakers. In 1976 Andrew Kleinhenz established PantsMakers in Dayton, Ohio and successfully developed a reputation for producing quality, fashionable, affordable and dignified clothing for seniors. Andy’s hard work, dedication to customer satisfaction and years of experience set the groundwork for the successful transition in ownership. Pembrook has built upon the decades of experience acuminated by PantsMakers and has brought a fresh approach to senior apparel.
The owner of Pembrook, Scott Dyer, has been part of the history of PantsMakers for his entire life; first as a youth he gained experience sweeping the floors of the production line, laying fabric and patterns in the cutting room and now has the privilege to steward the future success under a new brand – Pembrook. The name Pembrook is a tribute to the family heritage of the new owner and is derived from the picturesque coastline of western Wales, UK where his father calls home.
